On the front cover of our December 19, 1990 issue, we alerted our readers to be watching the December issues of Sports Illustrated for a feature article on Dr. Nick Athens and chiropractic. We have been informed that the special feature has been postponed and will not appear in Sports Illustrated until next football season. Biomechanical Bridge: Connecting Hip Mobility to Low Back Health

Research now shows that limited hip internal rotation can significantly contribute to low back pain. This may be caused by hip joint variants, but more commonly by trauma causing adhesion of the hip joint capsule or even prolonged sitting, which overactivates the hip flexors and abductors, and underactivates the hip extensors and adductors.
