When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
New CCF Institutional Member
Southern California College of Chiropractic (SCCC) has joined the CCF as an institutional member.
Dr. William F. Holmberg, CCF president, credited the college liaison program in coordinating CCF efforts with the colleges. "We urge the colleges to get as involved as they can with promoting the Grand Celebration. We are also encouraging all colleges to dedicate their 1995 homecomings to the centennial celebrations."
Centennial Sales Catalogue
A Centennial Foundation sales catalogue scheduled for June 1994 distribution was announced by Rick Flaherty. "The sales catalogue will contain different specialty items commemorating the Grand Celebration," said Mr. Flaherty. "Revenue will be used to support the Celebration."
Audio Tapes: Pioneers of Chiropractic
A series of audio cassette tapes of inspirational speakers in the chiropractic profession is close to completion.
"The tapes contain inspirational talks from modern pioneers in chiropractic to the forefathers of the profession," said Dr. Gary Street, member of the media project subcommittee headed by Dr. Guy Riekeman. "They are a very special limited edition collector's item we wanted to offer in honor of the chiropractic centennial."
