When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
Chiropractic Centennial Foundation to Benefit from New Series of Foot Levelers Seminars
Last year, Foot Levelers, Inc., inaugurated a unique series of eight seminars. Half of all seminar fees were donated by the company in a 50/50 split with the CCF and the chiropractic colleges (seminar attendees chose which chiropractic college were the beneficiaries). This philanthropic concept generated a heady $101,282.60 donation from Foot Levelers in 1992.
Foot Levelers has announced it will continue in this tradition with a second series of educational seminars, "Countdown to Centennial '93." Again half of all seminar revenue will be split between the CCF and the chiropractic colleges.
"Countdown to Centennial '93" seminars are scheduled for the following dates and locations:
Davenport, Iowa -- July 10-11
San Jose, California -- July 31-August 1
Kansas City, Missouri -- August 21-22
Atlanta, Georgia -- September 25-26
St. Louis, Missouri -- October 2-3
Newark, New Jersey -- November 6-7
Minneapolis, Minnesota -- November 13-14
The seminars will feature speakers Dr. John K. Hyland on biomechanics and rehabilitation; Dr. Paul Jaskoviak on physical therapy; Dr. Kenneth J. Murkowski on correct insurance procedures; and Dr. Monte H. Greenawalt on spinal pelvic stabilization. Dr. Russell Erhardt will be speaking at the Kansas City seminar on radiology.
The lectures will provide 12 hours of license renewal credit. Included in the $99 registration fee will be a post-seminar party.
Foot Levelers President Kent S. Greenwalt said, "We feel this is going to be an important year for chiropractic, and Foot Levelers wants to do everything it can to guarantee this profession's future."
