Some doctors thrive in a personality-based clinic and have a loyal following no matter what services or equipment they offer, but for most chiropractic offices who are trying to grow and expand, new equipment purchases help us stay relevant and continue to service our client base in the best, most up-to-date manner possible. So, regarding equipment purchasing: should you lease, get a bank loan, or pay cash?
Attention: All DCs Insured By CARE
A message for all policyholders from the Florida Department of Insurance -- Fraud Division:
"An individual named William A. Rose through an association by the name of CARE, Chiropractic Association for Research & Education, is marketing medical malpractice "insurance" to chiropractors in Florida and other states. The insurance was first provided by a company called Professional Indemnity Corporation and now by a company called Insurance Company of Great Britain.
"Neither of these companies are licensed to transact insurance in any of the 50 states.
"If anyone in any state has purchased insurance from CARE and has an unpaid claim or pending claim, please contact Gail Conneil at the Florida Department of Insurance/Fraud Division in Tallahassee at (904) 922-3115, ext. 4037 or by fax to (904) 488-2632."
