Lifetime Prevalence - 33%

Lifetime Disability - 10%

The point prevalence (those currently experiencing low back pain) for adults is less than 9%. This means that children need chiropractic care (just for low back pain) twice as much as their parents.

But while pain reduction is meaningful, it is an incomplete and often misleading representation of recovery. This has real consequences for patient adherence, long-term outcomes, and how conservative care is perceived within the broader healthcare system.
