Just a Placebo?

Dr. Luigi DiRubba of Connecticut reports a conversation one of his patients had with her medical doctor:

MD: "Chiropractic has just a placebo effect."

Patient: "If it got my child well and it was such a good placebo, why didn't you use it?"

Perhaps the omnipotent authority that the medical profession has enjoyed is somewhat diminished.
