When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."
Not All Search Engines Are Created Equal
With approximately 30 million web site pages on the Internet, the volume of material accessible on any given subject is dramatically dependant on one's choice of a "search engine."
To illustrate this point, we did an Internet search for "chiropractic" using a number of the more popular search engines:
Alta Vista | 44,800 |
Excite | 15,864 |
Galaxy | 93 |
HotBot | 22,638 |
Infoseek | 11,097 |
Lycos | 4,481 |
Magellan | 1,226 |
MetaCrawler | 49 |
WebCrawler | 1,366 |
Yahoo | 178 |
Note: WebCrawler is the standard search engine for America Online. All of the other search engines are pre-installed with Netscape Navigator.
