When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."

NYCC Reaches Agreement with Bergen Community College
New York Chiropractic College recently reached agreement on a joint admissions program with Bergen Community College of Paramus, New Jersey. The agreement, signed earlier this fall, guarantees that students who complete the pre-chiropractic program at Bergen Community will gain admission to NYCC.
The agreement also ensures that students from Bergen Community are adequately prepared for a chiropractic education and that they will make a smooth transition to the college, according to Dr. Judith K. Winn, Bergen's president. "This agreement gives a special advantage to BCC students, since it guarantees admissions regardless of competition," Dr. Winn said.
NYCC Faculty Member Published in Track Magazine
Dr. Russ Ebbets, a faculty member of New York Chiropractic College, recently had an article published in Track Coach Magazine, the international technical journal of USA Track and Field. It is believed to be the first time a chiropractor has been published in Track Coach.
Dr. Ebbets' article concerned plantar fascitis and was illustrated by Dr. Dennis Homack, a resident intern at the Seneca Falls student health center. A longtime supporter of USA Track and Field, Dr. Ebbets has served as a lead instructor in the organization's coaching education program since 1983.
