League City Chiropractor Runs for City Council
Dr. Hamid Kantara, a 1995 graduate of Texas Chiropractic College and president and founder of the American Middle Eastern Chiropractic Association, has decided to enter the world of local politics. Dr. Kantara has announced his candidacy for a seat on the city council in League City, a midsize city of 50,000 located approximately 25 miles southeast of Houston.
Dr. Kantara's candidacy letter is as follows:
After serving the community of League City, Texas as an EMT and paramedic for over four years, I am now ready to serve my community, a population of 50,000, in a different capacity. Therefore, I have decided to run for city council on May 1, 1999. While special interest groups support the other candidates, I am running independently represented by my family, friends and those who have witnessed my dedication to my community. In order to campaign successfully for this non-expired seat, I am reaching for my friends, fellow chiropractors and chiropractic advocates for campaign donations. For more information, you can visit my website at http://www.flash.net/~drhameed and/or call my office at (713) 782-7775. Campaign donations, however small they are, are welcomed at 7575 San Felipe, Suite 125B, Houston, TX 77063. I thank you for your support and generosity. Hamid Kantara, DC |
