New York's highest court of appeals has held that no-fault insurers cannot deny no-fault benefits where they unilaterally determine that a provider has committed misconduct based upon alleged fraudulent conduct. The Court held that this authority belongs solely to state regulators, specifically New York's Board of Regents, which oversees professional licensing and discipline. This follows a similar recent ruling in Florida reported in this publication.
ICA, ACA Expand Discussion Forums
In an effort to better serve their members and the chiropractic profession at large, the American Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractors Association have expanded and revised their discussion forums on Chiroweb.com.
Each association has added six new message boards, with subjects ranging from membership information and recent news to more specific topics such as the ICA's policies and positions and the ACA's current lawsuit against the federal government. Users are welcome to leave comments or ask questions on whichever message boards they see fit.
Each association has also revised the web address for their discussion forums to make it easier for users to remember. The address for each association's discussion board is as follows:
- ACA: www.chiroweb.com/aca
ICA: www.chiroweb.com/ica
