Password-Protected Forums Coming to Chiroweb

With well over 800,000 hits per month, Chiroweb.com is attracting doctors of chiropractic, chiropractic students and consumers to the over 40 discussion forums. And while most of the posted messages on the chiropractic forums involve discussion and interaction between DCs, there is the possibility that consumers can enter these forums.

For this reason, Dynamic Chiropractic is finalizing the specifications for a new security system. This new system will restrict access to chiropractic forums so that only DCs can enter. While it will still allow DCs to maintain their anonymity by using pseudonyms, it will encourage a greater atmosphere of professionalism.

A National Turning Point: N.J. Board Rejects Insurer Medical X-Ray Rules for DCs

The New Jersey Board of Chiropractic Examiners has made a precedential decision, concurring with the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors' (ANJC) position paper on chiropractic X-ray guidelines. In plain terms, the board ruled, consistent with the ANJC position, that insurance companies cannot use medical X-ray rules or recommendations, like those written by the American College of Radiology (ACR), to decide whether a chiropractor's X-ray was necessary.
