The Natural Law Party: A Political Party for Chiropractors

Chiropractors have long dreamed of a political party that would support our purpose of transforming health care in the United States. You may not be aware that such a political party already exists. It is small, but rapidly growing, and presently has 2,000 candidates running for office nationwide. It is called the Natural Law Party, and its purpose is to bring the light of science to politics. Its platform for health care proposes the promotion of natural prevention-oriented health care as an antidote to the spiraling costs of disease care. You can read our entire platform on the web at http://www.natural-law.org.

As chiropractors, we may be more influential supporting a third party than a major party. Our contributions to major parties are in direct competition with those of the drug industry, the managed care industry and organized medicine. We do not have the resources to buy more influence than these industries. Third parties, however, have historically been successful getting programs enacted by making their ideas so popular with the public that the major parties were forced to adopt the programs in order to keep their position of dominance. That is how women got the vote, how slavery was abolished, and how we got workers' compensation insurance. By supporting a third party, we may be able to stretch the influence of our contributions.

The Natural Law Party is out campaigning nationwide, informing the public of the research that supports what we do as chiropractors. If you wish to support them, you can find a list of candidates in your area at http://www.natural-law.org. If you wish to run for office in the next election, they will likely support you.
