Financial pressure, enrollment declines and institutional challenges are emerging at several U.S. chiropractic colleges. Life Chiropractic College West's and Life University's struggles may be the most talked about but appear to be part of a larger story. And with recent USDE requirements threatening to hamstring federal student financing for DC degree programs, chiropractic education is facing questions for which it has no immediate answers.

In an apparent effort to gain credibility, the planners of the inaugural meeting of the Asian-Pacific Board of Chiropractic Examiners (APBCE) made claims that have been refuted by many of those invited. As a result, a number of the people expected to help launch the organization have already stated they will not be attending the meeting.
The problem arose when the planners made numerous misstatements about the purpose of the meeting and those invited. Now both the birth of the organization and the meeting itself are very doubtful.
