Olympic Sports Chiropractic Symposium at Giants Stadium

10-Year DACBSP and CCSP Reunion

The New Jersey Chiropractic Society Sports Council, the ACA Sports Council, and the New York Chiropractic College will present an Olympic Sports Chiropractic Symposium at Giants Stadium May 18-19, 2002.

The finest sports physicians will be on hand to share their knowledge of sports injury diagnosis and treatment, including their Olympic experiences. It's an event for those seeking to further their sports medicine skills, or in learning how to get involved in sports medicine, whether at the community, state, or national level.

The symposium will include an optional cocktail party on Saturday night. The second day of the symposium will be held in the Press Box at Giants Stadium to commemorate the 10-year reunion of the first chiropractic sports diplomate program.

Laura Santiago, daughter of Joanne Santiago,DC,DACBSP, and niece of Phil Santiago,DC,DACBSP, is battling a rare from of lymphoma. Proceeds generated from this event will be donated to help pay for the treatment she requires to fight this disease.

Completion of the weekend symposium will be considered the equivalent of session one of the CCSP program and be applied to the completion of the course. Diplomate, CCSP, and continuing education credits will also be available to participants.

  • Panel Discussion with Former Olympic Team Chiropractors

  • The Etiology and Clinical Implications of Soft Tissue Injuries

  • Clinical Presentation and Biomechanical Considerations of Ankle Sprains

  • Demonstration and Hands-on Clinical Application for Rehab, Adjusting and Taping of the Ankle

  • Clinical Presentation and Biomechanical Considerations of a Rotator Cuff Injury

  • Demonstration and Hands on Clinical Application for Rehab, Adjusting and Taping of the Shoulder
