When sports chiropractors first appeared at the Olympic Games in the 1980s, it was alongside individual athletes who had experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in their training and recovery processes at home. Fast forward to Paris 2024, where chiropractic care was available in the polyclinic for all athletes, and the attitude has now evolved to recognize that “every athlete deserves access to sports chiropractic."

Chiropractic Section of APHA Announces New CE Webinar Series
The Chiropractic Health Care Section of the American Public Health Association recently announced a 12-hour continuing-education webinar series. The series, administered by participating colleges and national / state associations, is available in two-hour modules and is supported by a grant from the NCMIC Foundation.
“This webinar will provide the chiropractor with clinically relevant information that integrates the biopsychosocial elements of patient care and addresses national public health priorities,” said Dr. Thomas Ventimiglia, CHC Webinar Committee chairperson. “It will focus on the role the doctor can play in promoting health, guiding health behavior changes, and addressing social determinants of health. Finally, it will provide steps the practitioner can take that promote communication, collaboration, and cooperation with the mental health and licensed social worker.”
Sherman Wins "Have a Heart" Award for 3rd Consecutive Year
Sherman College of Chiropractic has received the 2024 Golden Heart Award for a third consecutive year. The award honors the chiropractic college and clinic that raises the most funds for Oklahaven Children’s Chiropractic Center during the center’s annual “Have a Heart” campaign.
“The college’s support is greatly appreciated, and it has helped the most profoundly hurt children on their journey to health and showing the world they can be well,” said Dr. Bobby Doscher, Oklahaven president and CEO, in presenting the 2024 award to Sherman’s dean of clinics and president in September at the college’s Chiropractic Center. “The work you do heals children and is a living testimony of the power of chiropractic.”
